On Monday at 1 PM Barbara Ehrenreich, the author of Nickel and Dimed, will speak outside of Madison Hall during the daily rally for a living wage at UVA. This is a great opportunity not only to show support for a living wage, but also to listen to the author of a book that has been a NY Times bestseller and is part of college curricula across the country. So change your lunch break, skip your class, or do whatever else so that you can seize this opportunity.

Also, Monday night Half-Handed Cloud and The Great White Jenkins will be playing a show in the UVA Chapel. This is a T-rock show. The cover is $5 and the show will start at 9:30 PM.

And, Organ Failure and Dead Religion will be playing at the Tea Bazaar. Here’s the blurb from the tea house website: “O.F. is coming from houston,tx with loud shenannigans, bright colors and flashy pant. D.R. plays all your favorite dead kennedy’s and bad religion songs on a couple of ol’ guitars. sounds sweet.”
