Hey Charlottesville there is a very interesting looking show going on tonight at the venue on top of an ice rink (aka the Main Street Annex). Headling this one is Sensations Fix which is fronted by Franco Falsini who is the father of Main Street Annex booker Jeyon Falisini. He came through town last year and played a real incredible show with some awesome rock jams as well as playing some tranced out/spaced out tracks off the excellent album Cold Nose LP (circa 1973). His last second adding on to this bill gets my real excited about what already looked to be a real interesting show. If you missed him last time he came through town definitely try to head out to this one. Anyway here is what the folks of the Main Street Annex have gotta say about this evening cause I can’t at all find details to all of these bands on my own so i’ll let them do the dirty work.

Sensations Fix – Italian underground prog legend Franco Falsini joins the bill, playing a live electronic set with sequenced beats and FX. Embracing space-age synths, industrial beats, post-punk guitar lines, and a passion for musical freedom, as well as gaining recognition through tributes by both DJ Shadow and Sonic Youth, Sensations Fix has had an influence on the music world unable to be fully quantified or realized in scope.

Cloud City – A collaboration between Larissa Moore (of The Lusionistics) and Morgan Moran (of Phoenix Noir), this mighty two-piece will rock you until you can’t rock any more.

The Chuggernauts – Like a British version of US Biker Rock with some Zack Wylde-era Ozzy Osbourne thrown in for good measure. For fans of Alabama Thunderpussy, Black Label Society, and beer in general.

Breakers – Inspired by the past five decades of rock, with influences by the Beach Boys, the Strokes, QOTSA, Green Day & the Who, Breakers bring a complex compositional style spray painted with simple straight forward New York rock n’ roll.

Two Ton Trapezoid – Funky jams for massive quadrilaterals

BVSSLUV – Hard-hitting trap, dubstep, and EDM for the discerning basshead

Butterfly Vendetta (Duo) – High energy Cville Pop-Punk band strips down to an acoustic duo for more of a vindictive caterpillar sort of feel

Doors for this are at 7PM and this show is $$5$$ if your dressed in costume (sci-fi themed I would assume) $$8$$ if your not dressed to impress.
