Tonight Worn in Red, Black Ranchero and the Convocation will be playing at Atomic Burrito on the Downtown Mall. Following this show, Worn in Red will doing an East Coast tour. You can listen to all three bands on their myspace pages (linked above).

Also, Thunderball and Fort Knox Five will be at the Satellite Ballroom. Here’s a description from the Ballroom e-mail:

Thunderball is the duo of Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona. Signed to the Thievery Corporations, ESL Music imprint, Thunderball has released two highly successful albums on ESL Music. This Saturday night the Thunderball Sound System will be performing a Live/Hybrid set featuring Steve on the decks and sampling, Sid running a keyboard and Laptop Symphony, Mustafa on vocals, and Rex on percusssion. Mustafa Akbar is a vocalist who has worked and performed extensively with Thunderball, as well as his own projects. He just released his debut solo. Rex Riddem is a percussion player with the Thunderball Sound System. The Fort Knox Five consist of Steve & Sid of Thunderball, JonH of JonH & Raskal, and Rob Myers (who plays guitar & sitar with the Thievery Corporation). It is a collaboration of funk, soul, hip hip, reggae, and electronica. Music made for the party! JHD aka John Henry Dale is the drummer and percussion player from Aubergine 3. He has taken his amazing ear to the decks, and will be starting the night off with a tag team set with Rex Riddem.

Sounds pretty sweet.
