Pitchfork reports that the Silver Jews are recording a new album. Frontman David Berman has recruited Steve Malkmus, Steve West, and Bob Nastanovich to help out. Rumors are that Will Oldham might also be in on the project.

Q and not U is also one of the bands on Burn to Shine, a DVD directed by Christoph Green and produced by Fugazi’s Brendan Canty. It features bands (Bob Mould, Ted Leo, The Evens, Weird War, Q and Not U, Canty’s band Garland of Hours, Medications, and French Toast) performing in a house that was about to be demolished.
