The Hand, Les La, Empress Hotel at Trinity

There’s a show at Trinity tonight that promises to be as fun as it is diverse. It’s a trio of bands that, while completely plausible to share a bill together, sound pretty damn different from one another. And therein lies the excitement about tonight’s show!

Leading off the night is one of Park The Van Records’ newest bands called Empress Hotel. They’ve got everything that you might expect from a PTV band: modest power-pop with a big, rich sound. Here’s them with balloons. Lots and lots of balloons.

Next up is Les La Britanica. If you haven’t caught them yet, you’re in for a good time. It’s energetic and fun and pretty much by definition it’s party music. But in a charming, self-aware, white-kids-making-hip-hop way. See here:

And last, but certainly not least, Invisible Hand are playing town for the first time in a little while. Who the fuck is Invisible Hand you ask? Tonight, at Trinity, at 8:30PM, for $7, you can find out in great detail…

And oh yeah, Trinity is on The Corner half a block up from Little John’s. Just follow the other out-of-place-looking townies and hipsters.
