UPDATE: In my haste to prepare for the tea house show tonight, I forgot to mention that Worn in Red, A Cosmonaut’s Ruin, Two Days of Freedom play at Outback Lodge tonight. Should also be a good show, and Worn in Red will have their brand new split 7″ with Benard for sale.

Tonight at the Tea Bazaar: Mahjongg and D.B.B. Plays Cups. 9pm, $6.

Mahjongg hails from Chicago and is on K Records. Check out their tunes here, or watch this video:

D.B.B Plays Cups includes yours truly, so please come check us out! Here’s a photo of the very first incarnation of the band (without me), featuring members of Foreign Born, performing at Mudhouse open mic night:
Things have changed quite a bit since this “early period.” Sunglasses and congas have been replaced by bass and a drum kit.

I’ve heard some really good things about Mahjongg…

plus, although I’ve had a million conversations about music with John R. and David B.B., I’ve yet to hear either one play a note! let’s just say I’m highly anticipating finding out what this will sound like.
