folk, rockabilly and more

Another busy weekend ahead!

(orion rigel domisse)

Friday night:

Orion Rigel Domisse, Evangelicals, Headlights and Wes Swing will play at the Tea Bazaar. A packed lineup of music that’s all worth checking out. I’ve listened to Orion’s CD a bit and it’s nice. RIYL Joanna Newsom and stuff in that vein.

(wrenn mangum)

Wrenn Mangum will play rockabilly tunes at Mono Loco. You can read my C-VILLE piece on him here.

The Nice Jenkins and Dear Dear will be at Durty Nelly’s.

Also: Local folk-pop duo Birdlips will be on 106.1 The Corner at 8pm (in advance of playing the Tea Bazaar on Saturday). Have a listen. And check out C-VILLE’s review of their debut album here.

Anything I’m forgetting?

Apparently Orion Rigel Dommisse didn’t play…but Evangelicals, Headlights and Wes Swing were all really good.
