Borrowed Beams at the Tea Bazaar

Adam Brock is bringing his Borrowed Beams of Light out to shine at the Tea Bazaar tonight. The Beams, while totally excellent, rarely play out. In fact, only two or three times in the last year. So, that said, this is pretty clearly a not-to-be-missed occasion. Borrowed Beams is Adam’s sunny rock/pop side project, drawing a good bit from some classic jams like The Kinks, Beach Boys and Sparks. It’s really catchy and fun, and Adam is a tremendous singer and frontman. He’s also put together a bit of an all-star backing band with members of Corsair, The Nice Jenkins and Invisible Hand.

Also on the bill are Borrowed Beams buddies out of Brooklyn, Paper Fleet. I’ll be honest, don’t know much about these guys, even having booked the show. But Adam enthusiastically vouches for them, so they must be pretty rad. And leading off are the always charming, witty, and hook-laden Hilarious Posters.

This one’s just $5 and kicks off at 9PM.

Oh! Also! Wes Swing and Nelly Kate are playing a free show at The Garage at 8PM. They’re both really really great solo loop-station manipulating songwriters with beautiful voices. I’m guessing this’ll be wrapping up right around the same time that the Tea House gets underway. So do both!

Update: Sam says The Garage show is still on, whatever the weather. Everbody is just going to get cozy together inside, which sounds quite nice!
