Jandek on WTJU, 8am

I’ll be hosting a tribute to Jandek on WTJU this morning (Saturday) from 8:00-10:00 AM;  Jandek is a fascinating and complex, long-running, somewhat notorious musical project which is both dense and difficult, and occasionally also sublime and brilliant; I’ll be attempting to do justice to the things that I think are great about Jandek, and if you’re curious (or already a fan) I encourage you to tune in.

Tomorrow’s WTJU marathon shows also feature a Leonard Cohen show, a Glam special, an Iggy and the Stooges motherlode, an ode to Yo La Tengo, a late-night tribute to Klaus Schulze, and more. Tune In to 91.1FM, and if you like hearing great music and non-commercial, community-supported radio… then you can donate as well!

There’s plenty of other things happening tomorrow evening as well; but by the time that rolls around I’ll most likely be asleep or delirious. Hopefully my co-bloggers can clue you in, (html-difficulties allowing).
