Two Heavy Hitters

This is kind of late, but there are indeed some awesome happenings going on tonight!

First off, Invisible Hand is at the Tea House.  Opening up is Preacher, from Harrisonburg, and Horse’s Mouth, from NY.  All these bands suck.  $6. 9pm.

Secondly, Worn in Red are having their CD release show over at Random RowSt. God’s, Horsefang, and Velvet Duvet are supporting.   I think it’s a $5 suggested donation and should be starting a little earlier than that crappy Tea House show.

As for myself?  I will be slinging wu-wu’s at the Box and complaining about stuff.  Cuz I’m Sarah Carr.

Velvet Duvet actually dropped off the bill cuz that dude Josh who’s in the band wanted to go see Megadeath. Which is a pretty a tight reason, and also probably better than those other shows.

What’s the point of promoting a show and then just saying that the bands “suck” without any qualification? Unless this is some sort of ironic joke that I’m not understanding, this attitude seems pretty stupid.

Definitely a joke. Especially since this posts’ author’s boyfriend is the bass player for Invisible Hand. I’m not totally sure everyone is gonna get the joke, though.

I myself can vouch for Invis Hand, Horsefang, Worn in Red, and St God’s (roughly in that order, give or take). Haven’t heard the other acts, though. Generally if I think a band sucks I just try not to mention it. Although of course there are plenty of great bands that don’t suck that also sometimes don’t get mentioned. Anyhow, I’m gonna miss ’em all ’cause I’m out of town this weekend…
