sBACH and Tapeworms COSTUME PARTY

Last night’s Madame Psychosis Hour playlist is on the WTJU blog… it was Halloween-ilicious.

Speaking of Halloweenishness… sBACH and Tapeworms are playing at The Bridge on Tuesday night at 8pm. AND it’s a costume party!!! so wear a costume!!!  I’m probably going to be working super-late on Actual Halloween, so I’m gonna have to have as much costumed excitement as I can tomorrow.

sBACH is 1/2 of the now-possibly-defunct kickass LA mathscramble duo Hella. They had a stupid name, but they were an awesome band {if you haven’t heard ’em, check out Hold Your Horse Is and then compare it to the astonishing Acoustics … totally sick}. Their guitarists new solo record under a new name basically sounds like the Hella material multiplied by his bloopy 8bit interests (c.f. The Advantage), divided by what fun spazzy rock bands sound like these days. It’s been getting a lot of spins on WTJU and it’s pretty cool.

Plus Tapeworms kick ass. Please join me in convincing them to cover “Christmas Don’t Be Late” as an encore. I’ve already tricked Steve into admitting that he knows all the words and that he can do the voice.

SO, it should be a whole lot of fun. And seriously, wear a costume. Costumes are super-easy. If you show up without a costume, I’m going to make you leave and go find at least one article of clothing you would not ordinarily wear before you come back.  $5, 8pm. Candy and Prizes!

If you attempt to do this, I will pound you, strip you naked, cover you in McCain bumper stickers, and tie you to the entrance of Friendship Court.

Actually, “naked covered in McCain bumper stickers” is a pretty good idea for a costume.
