shows tonight, plus a party

Sorry I never got around to blogging about the shows yesterday… I never even got home until like 1am.

The Gunshy are playing at the Tea House tonight, along with Stratton Salidis. Stratton you may know as EMT (Emergency Musical Theater), and the Gunshy have played in town several times and are apparently pretty good. 10pm-ish, $5 or less.

There’s an Obama fundraiser show at Zinc, with Straight Punch to the Crotch and Downbeat Project, along with a few guest speakers. It’s 18+, with a suggested donation of $10 at the door.

Country-wise, Six Day Bender are playing at Gravity Lounge… 10:30pm, $5.   There’s also a new group called Earl Knox who are playing with Sun Dried Opossum at Rapture tonight; it’s a free show, the after-party for the Pavilion show tonight.

Lastly, Jack “Andy” L. is having a music-themed house party tonight. I think the idea was partially go get a bunch of local musicians together to compare notes and meet and hang out; however, this may be secondary to the larger goal of just having a crazy-ass party. I know for a fact that DBB Plays Cups are playing, and there may be more music as well. It’s on the East side of town… I won’t give the address out over the internet, but if you want directions & details you can ask around, e-mail me, or just call Jack if you know him.
