Here is a picture of Borrowed Beams’ Dave Gibson shredding a solo with Cate Le Bon

I just got back from the Cate Le Bon/Kevin Morby gig at The Southern, which was absolutely fantastic. Apparently last time she was in town, there were only a handful of people (gratefully not true this time), one of them being Hibernator Gigs co-runner/Borrowed Beams of Light/Weird Mob/SQUEEZEus member Dave Gibson. In the way that poorly-attended-but-still-fun-maybe-just-punchy shows go sometimes, Dave ended up onstage playing a solo on Cate’s guitar. Cate Le Bon mentioned this in the middle of the show tonight, claiming it was not going to happen again, only to gesture Dave up on the last song. Dave, never daunted in the face of adventure, jumped up there and made c-ville proud.

Way to go, Dave!

Man, it was a great show and a pleasure to share the stage, even briefly, with that beautiful Welsh songstress!
