A few things…

(nels cline and kaveh)

Kaveh has a post over on audiozine.org about meeting and seeing Nels Cline when he came to town to play The Paramount at the beginning of June. It includes a great writeup about meeting Nels, as well as live recordings of the two sets that the Nels Cline Singers played that night. It was a fantastic show, so I highly recommend checking that out. Nels even borrowed a guitar from Aaron Albin (who plays with Kaveh as Clarence Thomas Action-Adventure Unit) and used it for one song. I hope Kaveh doesn’t mind me posting the above photo.

Matthew Rosenberg has a photo up from the recent inaugural show at The Garage. It looks like it was a wonderful evening and it’ll be cool to see what future events the space has in store.

In August Bonny Prince Billy and Cass McCombs will be playing Gravity Lounge. Props to Danny Shea for setting up these sweet shows, and to Gravity for hosting them. Bonny Prince Billy will play two shows (one early, one late) on August 9 with his brother Ned’s band, The Anomoanon, opening. And Cass McCombs will come through on August 11. I’m pretty upset that I will be far away from Charlottesville when these shows happen, but you guys enjoy.

Don’t forget to check out the Buck Gooter interview below and check out their show with Corsairs, Articulate Chewbacca and The Wiles tonight at Dust.
