Mildred Pierce, the arts and criticism ‘zine co-run by my friend (and former Nailgun contributor) John Bylander, has now totally and finally and irrevocably finished their long-in-the-making third issue. You can order copies of Mildred Pierce #3 here.
Incidentally, I did the cover, but the stuff inside is really smart and worthwhile and good; there’s an article about Lungfish, a thing about Meghan Eckman, an interview with Sandra Newman, and a roundtable discussion about why Sophia Coppala is terrible. {Ruscher says nice things about it on his blog; aw shucks, he says nice things about me, too. Thanks, John and John.}

And, speaking of Meghan Eckman, her now-legendary Corner Parking Lot documentary is reportedly nearing completion: it has a website and everything. Check it out — the trailers are awesome.

is that an obscure, retro-active form of tangential self-promotion?!? or is your Soul just Boning everything in sight?
(honestly, either answer is acceptable).
